On you mark… Get set… Go to this year’s Sprucewood Invitational. This year’s race promises to be exciting for you and your family!
Beginning August 27th, the race will run through to August 29th, 2010. We are excited to have the Outdoor Life Network (OLN) filming the race again this year. The air date will be some time between November to April 2011!
The 2010 race will be donating all proceeds to help the Lions Club in their drive to get a seeing eye dog for a person in need. The money generated by the race will go to the purchase of a dog and all the training required . So let’s all join together and make year’s race the most successful ever so we can all come together and raise money for a great cause.
Past races have brought in excess of 600 spectators and 230 racers from all across North America becoming the largest Outdoor RC Race in Canada. A celebrity race was also featured on the track with two of the most popular Toronto Maple Leaf hockey players, Alexei Ponikarovsky and Nik Antropov.
David McLean, the event organizer, not only enjoys RC racing and putting together this great event, but he also loves to give back to the community by generating money for local charities.
Check back here soon for more information as it becomes available.
